Avastin oder alternative

Dear ,
I have my mother she is 51 years .two years and half  her left eye  leaked .We have immediately  take her to eye doctor ,and he advice us to relive here outside the country "No capability to treat this kind of illness" .We relived here to Germany .

On Germany they have withdrew the lacked blood.
Now for one year and half she is having an injection of "Avastin oder alternative" she has token  four injections .two injections were on August-spetember 2006 and the second two injections were on March-May , 2007 .

Now here doctor advice us to do new two injections ASAP .

Could you please if it is possible to advice with alternative solutions of doing the injections .if there is any other medicine .Where it is difficult to go to Germany every time .

If you need I can send you the latest OCT and  Angiographie .

I am also looking for near place in the middle east to do it, but I could not find that on the net .Where also my mother is not relaxed and afraid to do it on our country Just new eye treatment center was opened recently.

If she has wet macular degneration and AVASTIN or LUCENTIS is indicated, then there is no other effective alternative treatment.  I'm sorry.  Avastin is about 20 times cheaper than Lucentis (which is the same drug but packaged and approved officially for eye  use).  Most people still get Avastin over Lucentis due to the lower cost.  Basically if you need it - nothing will work as well as Avastin or Lucentis.

Sytemic side effectse from ocular use is rare.  I am not familiar with dosages for systemic use for cancer so you would have to talk with oncologist about that.

Yes, she have something like freckles in the left eye. This freckle was the reason behind her eye leaked.
I would like also to ask .Does AVASTIN have any side effect where this medicine is being used for Cancer .
