Cataract, Rezoom and Lasik

I am 52 years old and had a partial vitreous detachment in one eye and it was imminent the other eye was going to detach.  I had a cataract removal with a Rezoom multifocal lens and vitrectomy to both eyes and Lasik done to one eye, the dominant eye.  My vision was -16.50 before all the surgeries.  The doctors basically rebuilt my eyes.  Now that I am back home I am wondering if the Rezoom lens and Lasik was the right and correct choice.  Yes I talked to my doctors and this is what she recommended and I agreed.  I have blurriness in the Lasik eye for which I am using artifical tears, Optive to help.  How long Is this bluriness going to last?  I see much better when there is a lot of light or sunny, but in low light things get blurry, is this normal?  I hate seeing these halos but the doctor says eventually my brain will tune them out.  I sure hope so.  Thanks for any imput you can give me.

With lenses like the rezoom you will get the good (ability to see far and near to some degree without glasses) with the bad (halos, rings around lights, inability to drive at night.)  Patients do seem to adapt  with time to some of the unpleasant symptoms.  I guess only time will tell in your situation.  How much better will you get?  OR is this as good as it gets?  I can't give you a good answer.  I hope you have an excellent working relationship with your surgeon because you are on quite a journey here with all your surgeries - and I'm sure you have many good and important questions for him/her to answer.  Write them down - bring them in for your next appointment.
