The lens he used is AcrySof Acrylic Foldable IOL, Model: MA60AC, Power 19.5. My vision is still blurry because I still have one stitch which the surgeon is taking out this week.. I have one large floater. I saw a Retina Specialist this week but he said the floater will most likely dissolve and he will not have to do anything. Thank you for answering my question it was very helpful.
This happens in about 2% of cataract cases. Which lens did the doctor put in your eye? It should be on a card they gave you the day of the surgery. How is your vision now? This puts you at increased risk of a retinal detachment so you have to let your doctor know immediately if you get a rush of new floaters, flashes of light out of the corner of your eye, and a curtain or cloud out of the periphery of your vision. Most people with a torn capsule end up Ok with good vision and no long term complications. But you do have to be more cautious than average for problems.
