Cataract

Once you have 'regular' cataract surgery, can you change your mind and have that lense taken out and replaced with a 'ReStor' lense?  I'm so sorry I had the 'regular' lense put in.

Why do you want to replace the regular lens that you got?  What don't you like about this lens?

Why do you think you would like the Restor lens?

Yes, BUT is is a much more difficult procedure than the original insertion. Generally, I would only consider it if there are serious problems with your eyesight or other medical issues.

Plus, there are enough potential problems with Restor (search this forum) that I don't think I would ever recommend someone explanting an existing lens to install a Restor. As a first installation, I think it's a reasonable choice for many people. But I wouldn't risk the explant only to risk facing perhaps even worse issues with the Restor.

I am not a doctor. Just my opinions.

Yes.  The sooner it is done the easier.
