i was diagnosed with lattice degeneration in both eyes 5 years back. In each eye I have two areas of lattice degeneration with some holes. I had undergone laser treatment to seal the holes. But since past 2 years I have started noticing one or two blind spots in my side vision whenever I rotate my eyes to see sideways. I perceive probably two blind spots when I close my left eye and rotate my right eye. I also perceive one blind spot when I close my right eye and rotate my left eye. The blind spots move rapidly with eye movement but otherwise stay fixed if I do not move my eyes in different directions. I have got my eyes checked by at least 6 different ophthalmologists and one neuro-ophthalmologist.All of them are of the opinion that except for lattice degeneration with holes, my retina in both eyes is healthy. I could not entice a satisfactory explanation for the blind spots, which, most of the specialists say are probably floaters. But i am pretty sure these are blind spots, since unlike my other floaters they seem to be fixed at one place and only move with eye movement. Also, none of the ophthalmologists I visited, felt the need to get a visual field test done.
.
My question is, are these blind spots due to the peripheral lattice holes?
If not then what can be another possible explanation?
