Cloudy vision after PVD

I was diagnosed PVD two days ago I've had two eye exams by an ophthalmologist, and he assured me the retina was not detached nor there was a tear!  I am very concerned because since yesterday my vision is permanently cloudy like curtain like vision. Every where I read this is a symptom for retina detachment. Please help I am so worried in tears! I do not mind the floaters, but my vision has not been cleared for the last two days. The Dr. said this was just the floaters, I just feel like I have a coating over my left eye. Please advice how serious is this?

You need another dilated exam by a retina specialist to be certain that there is no retinal detachment or vitreous hemorrhage:  if there is a retinal tear, there could be blood cells in the vitreous which would give you that cloud over your vision.  If the retina specialist says that there is no retinal tear, no retinal detachment, and no vitreous hemorrhage, then an OCT is a good idea.

Have they considered that the cloud like vision might be due to a layer of scar tissue covering your retina?
If that's the case, it would be called an ERM=Epiretinal Membrane (google it)  Scar tissue might have formed if the Vitreous happened to tug on an area of the retina and your body perceived that area to be an injury where it would have sent cells to it to form a scar.   JUST A THOUGHT, I AM NOT A DOCTOR.

I had that cloudy vision over 2 years ago and went to 4 retina specialists.  They all did OCT tests and diagnosed me with an ERM...it clouded my vision to 20/200 and I could barely make out the big E on the eyechart.

Make certain you see Retina Specialists and have them run an OCT test (don't even need to be dilated for the OCT test).
Good luck, and keep us posted
