Colored Contact lenses- without perscription

Hello,

I have a question about my contacts that i just started wearing today (5/19/10), and when i put one on my left eye, it started watering for a little, my eye watered a bit and I figured that it only watered because that it was my first time wearing one. the white part of my eye around the cornea got a little red and it feels like my its dry. I saw a video of an optimist and he said that it would bother me a little bit because it was my first time, and he said that i should take it off and let my eye rest for a day or two. but what else can i do?

Dear kfel23,

I would recommend that you definitely take out the contact lens and if your eye is still irritated, seek the care of an eyeMD.

Are you sure they fit properly?

Your contacts have to be very clean.

Try putting a drop of saline in the contact before you put it in your eye.
