Replacement of the lens is a fairly aggressive approach, with quite a few risks. You need an answer as to why your distance vision is worse, and a touch up to fix that problem can be done with RK, AK or PRK surgery. Your original surgeon should explain the problem and its solutions to you. I would recommend that you find experienced crystalens surgeons to answer your questions during your second and third opinions, as this lens acts differently than other lenses.
My distance is better about 50% of the time, my up close and intermediate have been double since day one. Will a RK,AK or PRK procedure help with up close ? I have made a third opinion appointment, but can't get one until February. Thank you so much for your prompt reply.
