Dilated Eye After/During Shingles??? HELP!!!

I am a 19 year male and 3 weeks ago I experience pain behind my eye (almost like I got punched in the eye). Days following that pain it got worse, plus I started noticing bumps on my face. After the 5th day I went to the doctors who then told me it was shingles. He prescribed me drugs and eye drops for ten days. The pain went away and the bumps went away. Now I have had it for 3 weeks and it is extremely itchy. Sunday I put in contacts for the first time since and everything seemed to be normal well today i woke up and my eyelid was a bit droopy so i took out my contacts and I notice no more then an hour ago that my eye is dilated and my vision seems to be a bit blurry in that eye. My question basically is what do I do??? rest it??? use eyedrops??? or go and get it checked out???

You should see an EyeMD.  Shingles can cause serious damage inside the eye.  Find one near you at www.aao.org.

Go see an ophtalmologist (eye specialist) RIGHT AWAY. They will probably prescribe some steriod drops. My husband had a shingles infectionon his face and was not referred to a specialist right away and now has a cornea scar. Do not wait, it is a very nasty virus that can seriously affect your eye and vision! Good luck, hopefully it is not too late.
