Eye drops

Hello,

when I was a kid ( 7/8 years old) my eye doctor gave me some eye drops, which I had to apply regularly (i think on a daily basis but I am not quite sure) for a lenghty period (a couple of months). Since I had no eye diseases and still dont have any eye diseases I wonder what kind of drops they were. Coincidentally I started to develop myopia at that age, so I wonder whether these drops had something to do with my myopia. Can you assess what kind of eye drops these were? (Unfortunately the eye doctor is retired so I cant ask him anymore).

Thank you very much, your answer really would help me, Patrik

can eye drops INDUCE myopia? Is it possible that some eye drops may lead to axial elongation = myopia?

Eye drops are not indicated for myopia.

Sometimes eyedrops can be used for chronic infections, but not often.

Drops can be used in one eye for lazy eye to help the child use the lazy eye but I would have thought you would have known that diagnosis if you had it.

I wouldn't worry about it.
