Will this blurriness ever go away?

Approximately 2 weeks ago (July 10) I was hit on the eye by myself accidently, with my own fist as I was pulling on something when I lost the grip, and my knucle hit me right on my left eye. Right after I felt an intense pain on my eye and started seeing blurry (like when you stare at the light for long and then look away). My ophtamologist saw me two days later and prescribed me some eye drops, but I still don't see any better, especially at night it's when I'm having more difficulty seeing clearly. This Saturday I'm going to be seen to check if my retinal wasn't damaged. Meanwhile I wonder if this fogginess will ever go within time? Or is it possible I have caused some type of permanent damage to my eye? Or will the blurriness increase? Please answer my questions I am very worried and scared that I won't see clearly again. Thank you for the tremendous help you give everybody by answering our concers. God Bless, Marisol

Since your ophthalmologist prescribed medications, you must have had some damage. That would also be why you have a follow up examination to evaluate your recovery and response to treatment. Only time will tell but most injuries like this have a happy ending. Keep your appointment and use your mediciation.
