Not sure but I don't think so. Make sure that your child's other visual behaviors are normal. Does he make eye contact with people and able to respond to your facial expressions in the absense of any sound stimuli (if you smile but don't make any noise). Rarely, infants with poor vision or eye problems will stare at bright lights because they don't see well and use it as visual stimulation. Also, make sure your son's eyes don't shake when he looks at things (nystagmus), and that the eyes are not crossing or going out. If you have any concerns, you should take him to a pediatric ophthalmologist to make sure all is well.
