reflection in glasses

Hi, Please could you give me some advice regarding some reflections which I have started getting when I wear my glasses.  I have had the current prescription for my glasses since last August and this has only started over the last few weeks.  I have 2 pairs of glasses and it happens with both glasses otherwise I would have just thought it was due to marks in the glasses.  It is quite difficult to explain but when I put my glasses on I get 2 small white dots (which seem like reflections) appearing fairly near to the centre of the glasses (or sometimes a little bit off centre to the left).  They are more noticeable if I am looking at a darker television screen.  I wonder if you may have any idea what these could be?  I am 35 years old and have never had them before.  They are just annoying more than anything.  When I take my glasses off they go away so I am unsure why my glasses have suddenly started to cause these too appear.  I would be very grateful if you had any idea what could be causing them?  I also suffer from floaters which have got worse over the last few months.  The white dots are different to the floaters though.  Where as the floaters move as your eyes move, when I have the white dots this doesn't happen.  They don't move as my eyes move but if I move my glasses down the white spots move up and if I move my glasses up the white spots move down.  Thank you for any advice!

Hi, Thank you for your reply.  I haven't had an anti-reflective coating put on the glasses.  Also it started happening a few weeks ago and I have 2 different pairs of glasses but it happens with both of them?  If its happening with both pairs of glasses do you think it would still be due to the glasses?  Thanks again!

It does sound as if the problem is with the glasses and not with your eyes.  If you had an anti-reflective (AR) coating applied to the lenses and it is coming off or scratched, this could cause some symptoms.  I would have the glasses examined by the dispensing optician and see if there is a problem.

Hi, Just to add - they are more noticeable when looking at anything darker.  It isn't just linked with the television screen and the light reflecting from there, which I realised it may have sounded like from my post. Thanks again!
