Low-risk exercise for a patient with high retinal detachment risk?

I am 29 years old, highly myopic, and night-blind.  I received several laser treatments on both eyes for last four years.  Fortunately, my retina was not detached completely and I didn't get any real surgery but just lasering.  My field of view was not affected by the treatment and the life is just like before.  The last treatment was about 8 months ago and my doctor said it's good so far about 2 months ago.

However, I did not do enough exercise since the first treatment (4 years!), and now I want to do some to lower my blood pressure and stress level.  I wonder what exercises are recommended?  I was told that even table tennis, jogging, and swimming are risky.  Is that true?  If possible I'd like to learn how to swim because it seems easy on my knee.

Thank you in advance,
Trustin

Thank you for answering, Ray.  I'm somewhat confused about your answer though.  You mentioned cataract surgery but is it relevant to my question?  The laser treatment was for my retinal tears which have been found last four years.

No evidence for exercise aggravating your condition.  There are approximately 3 million cataract surgeries per year in the US and about 10, 000 primary retinal detachments.
