PVD of the EYE

Is it normal to get more Eye Floater's as the PVD is happening without a tear. My Doctor mostly told me to come back if i see a black moving thing blocking the side of my vision. But my Vision is fine.

I had lots of tiny black dots and went to the opthamologist who diagnosed a PVD.  The next day, the dots came together and I had very large opaque black floaters.  I was very concerned and returned. The doctor said it was okay and would resolve in a few days...which it did.  You are okay as long as you don't see a curtain, shadow, or have deteriorating vision.  Best wishes.

Go to Dr.John C Hagan's Blog and read the posts there about floaters and how they affect peoples lives.  If its any conciliation I have floaters in both eyes, they began when I was 8 or 9 and in my right eye I have a huge Weiss Ring floater.

I understand.  It can be a very frightening experience.  Easier said than done, but try your best to relax.
