Posterior vitreous detachment (2, 3)

Hello!
Posterior vitreous detachment - is there any news on the issue? Are scientists working on this? Are there any positive expectations in the space - new equipment, drugs, treatment - or anything that can warm the hearts of the sick? I would appreciate any reply posted here.
And one more question - would you express an opinion about Dr. Carl Claes from Belgium? Is it really as good as it is described on the internet? Thank you for your attention.

There is not much research on PVD,  it is part of aging, only a tiny fraction of PVDs cause visual problems, there are so many other diseases (e.g. macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy) that cause blindness and are much more researched. There is a limited amount of time, money and trained researchers to vision threatening is top priority. All I read it the doctor's bio and he is well trained. If you are talking about a 'floater only vitrectomy' that is something I have never recommended to my patients. Too risky

Thank you very much for your reply Doctor Hagan!
I understand that this is a natural process - but a very insidious one. The load on the psyche is not small. Doctors' recommendations: - not to lift heavy. This is an extremely abstract and vague formula (at least to me). There are physiological processes in life that cannot be avoided or calculated in kg :) . When I asked my doctor - can I "safely" for the retinas to pull the parking brake of my car - he thought about it - and did not answer me. He only said that I can lift 5-6 kg. How can I calculate how much energy (kg) it will take to pull the parking brake?? :)
I smile - but I don't want to go blind... :(
You are obscessing on this and I have said about everything I can say. I would get on with your life.
:)
Thanks for your attention, Doctor Hagan.
