Punctum/puctual plugs

I didn't realized that my eyes were dry until I recently wore contacts.  My sister's eyes didn't produce much tears which lead her to have severe dry eyes.  She had the punctum plugs done and it's worked for her.  I'm having a hard time finding a doctor that will do it for a decent price.  I'm a student and am looking to see if a doctor can have a payment plan.  I'm having to use lubricant drops about 15-20 times a day.  I'm going through the bottle like it's water.  I wear my glasses to alternate on days that I don't want to deal with my contacts.  It's more of a hassle than anything else.  Any recommendation on a doctor in Torrance, CA area that will work with me.  Need help.... Thanks.

Just ask for one silicone plug in each lower lid for starters.

Thank you for the response back.  There's only one problem.  My sister had hers done about 10 yrs. ago.  She doesn't recall the Doctor's name.  She only remembers that he did a great job on her.  I don't need the pity, I just want someone that would do payment plans.  How many punctum plugs will I need?

If you don't have health insurance, it is going to be difficult for you.  Most doctors would charge at least about $100 a plug to put them in.  If you could find one that would take pity on you for being a student an having no insurance that would be great.  I recommend you see your sister's doctor.  Since she already has a relationship with him maybe she can put in a good word for you.
