Reading the perscription

My prescription is
Right Sphere -150, Cylinder -50, Axis 45
Left Sphere -125, Cylinder -75, Axis 150

Is there supposed to be  a decimal point in there? Would there be a standard on how to read it?

Thanks
DR

-1.50 - 0.50 x 45  Right eye

-1.25 - 0.75 x 150  Left eye

Yes, officially,  there should really be a decimal point but it is well understand what was meant.

Sphere means the amount of myopia or hyperopia (minus or plus power spherical lens for nearsightedness or farsightedness.)  Cylinder is the amount of astigmatism and axis is the exact direction of the astigmatism between 0 and 180 degrees.
