Red streak in eye

Hello, I have a red streak in my left eye with mild pain. This has been with me for over a year now, with no sign of going away. I have been diagnosed with blepharitis and rosacea.  Is there any way to get this to heal or go away?

More information...Red streak, or what looks like a collection of inflamed capilaries that form a streak, originates from the inner corner of my eye and stretched towards the colored part.  The streak widens slightly as it gets closer to the middle.  There is no pain from the redness on the eye, usually, but in the corner of the eye it often feels like there is a grain of sand.  On occasion I will wear contacts which do indeed irritate the eye, but I simply believe this is what you deal with when you wear contacts.  However, wearing contacts is not always the only time the eye will become extra red and irritated. I use moisturizing drops as often as I can as well. To my knowledge and recollection, I did not sustain any trauma to the eye to cause this to occur, it simply appeared.  I have been told that there is nothing that can be done.  This may be the case but I don't want to give up.
