decompression orbital surgery

This is the eyecatcher
I'm a 36 year old female I had orbital decompression surgery on th left eye on Wednesday September 12th.
How how long is the pain and swelling going to last.
I am very miserable and I would like to know how long does the healing take before I have to have the right eye surgery?
Can someone share there experiences?

I had orbital decompression surgery done on both eyes at once back in March.  The swelling lasted for about a week.  I had no pain to speak of.  I was back at work in less than a week.  My surgeon suggested a wait of 4 months healing before scheduling further surgery.  Unfortunately, 4 months is turning into 6 months since I had to have sinus surgery to correct a problem caused by the decompression.

I found that keeping ice on my eyes whenever possible helped a lot - did it for most of 5 days, until the ice pack they gave me in the hospital started leaking all over.

Good luck to you, try the ice if you haven't already, and I hope you feel better soon!
