Pigment in eye

I went to the eye doctor not too long ago and he said I have a small pigment in my left eye. He said it was like a freakle in the eye. Could this be Retinitis Pigmentosa? Would this be a first sign of RP? If this is just a freakle can it grow to be RP? Thank you

Ok thanks. One last question. Does RP usually start this way?

If it was RP he would have told you. The eye normally has pigment in it.  Call back and ask for clarification to sooth your anxiety.
