Should I see a doctor?.....

Well, I have recently noticed a few things about my left eye, A: it is slightly smaller or (shrunken) compared to my right eye, B: it is VERY itchy and scratchy all of a sudden, C: it has been very red (well, it was red for a few days, but recently became VERY red) and it looks like the veins in it are swollen coming from left side of it, but it is hard to look directly at the area, seeing as it is on the side of my eye that I can't see unless the eye is turned in the opposite direction...very annoying really, but worrisome none the less.  I don't wear contacts, I don't walk outside too much, I don't use an ac...or anything that could have blown something in to it, it just seems to be like this out of no where.  I'm getting very worried, since it itches quite a bit at times, and since one of the veins is raised a bit, it makes it irritating to blink.  I am also very upset about it, because I do not have insurance, nor a job, therefore I can not afford proper health care...nor can I risk going to the hospital if it isn't serious (since they will just overcharge me and brush me out the door with a "see an eye doctor" note).   Any advice/insight would be GREATLY appreciated.

You may have some minor conjunctivitis or due to hot climate.

Use some ayurvedic eye drops like itone eye drops & see if its making a difference,if not go and see an ophthalmologist.
