Side effects of Lucentis for age bearing women?

Hi...I am 42 years old and have 2 little children. I was born with a high degree of myopia in my right eye (my left is also shortsighted but not too bad) and developed MD. This week had a Lucentis injection in my eye. I can;t see much out of that eye per se but Dr's felt that because of my age, and should anything happen to my left eye - I'd be in some trouble. Now, I am concerned regarding side effects of Lucentis. What if I try to fall pregnant again??

Little systemic risk with intra-occular injection of anti-VEGF therapy. Some studies have examined the risk with systemic infusions of lucentis/avastin and there was nothing serious if my memory serves me and that is despite fold increases in the dosage used.

But if you are pregnant......it is always a different story!

Hmmm trying to get pregnant again at 42?   Well there are no studies to fall back on but since the lucentis is metabolized and completely gone out of the eye within several weeks it should not be a problem. If you were PG and hadthe other eye go bad I don't know what they would do.
