Slight issue?

Hi
First off, I have had no eye pain, no eye-related headaches (I have had headaches that have since been very correlated with stress. I mean, as in, doctors have said it, and before diagnosis and after, I have noticed this correlation. I've had tests and all that, and it really is stress. That sounded so convincing! I was worried about cancer, vein conditions (I have a friend who has... some brain vein thing? She was diagnosed around that time, so brain issues sprung easily to my head). I can confirm, from opticians and doctors, that there seems to be nothing wrong with my eyes, my eyesight or my brain. I do seem to have a weak, lazy eye, but nothing more. A few years ago, I noticed a few strands of yellow in my eyes (I'm blue-grey-green-eyed. I always thought myself blue-eyed, but most call me green-eyed, a few grey eyed and even less blue-eyed). I have a very dark kohl-grey-blue-black edge to my iris, then a scallop pattern, and beyond that streaks to the iris. I have noticed this towards the edge of the scallop pattern. I noticed this years ago, and since then, absolutely no change whatsoever to my eye health. I had various psychosomatic problems earlier this year, and to rule them out, cancer tests were done, which came back negative.

Dear OrangeBalloon,

I would keep track of your symptoms, write them down and talk with an eyeMD about them during your visit.

My father, with very, very, very green hazel eyes also has this. Could it be that I never normally examine my eyes, and have just noticed this? I've noticed that my eyes have changed from grey-ish blue-ish eyes to green-grey. I did maths and statistics and am now doing languages, so people actually do describe my eyecolour, weirdly! Even my sister chimed up, when talking to a Turkish man, "Yes, we have so many eye colours, my mum and I are blue-eyed, my dad is hazel-eyed, and X is green-greyish, maybe a bit blue eyed!". I mean, seriously, can I just not have seen that?! I think not. However, I dunno if the yellow-y green-y tint to my dad's eyes is new, but he recently had to get new glasses, because his glasses were too strong for him, and he is very, very, very healthy, as in, the doctor he went to for a checkup was impressed. I'm nowhere near that healthy, but is it genetic colouring or something else? If it's genetic, my eyesight hasn't changed much in the last few years, and I know I have quite good eyesight, and his has actually improved a tiny bit! I've read that your eyes can reflect other ailments in your body, and this got me thinking. I am "blue"-eyed (or whatever), often trying to diet but average weight, and I'm anaemic, prone to heavy stress, with a far from brilliant immune system. The 'green eye' reaction has made me wonder if I'm just a seemingly green mix iris, or what? I mean, I knew a girl with coppery-orange bits in her iris, who had better health than me, although not better eyesight, but she was healthy. I  can't help but wonder, though. Is it an eye or general health or totally benign issue? Again, the issue is iris colouration.
