The Best Retina Eye Doctor in Texas

I am looking for the best retinal eye doctor in Texas.  I had a retinal detachment several years ago, however, I am still blind in that eye.  Corrective lenses do not work.

Thank you.

The "best" retinal doctor, like the "best" restaurant or the "best" car, is relative.  Castle-Connolly lists board-certified doctors who have been nominated by other docs as specialists they would want to see themselves or send a family member to see.  You can access their data base at www.castleconnolly.com for a nominal fee.  I checked for you, and they list Dr. H. Michael Lambert in Houston (713-799-9975).  I suspect that he is highly competent and experienced.  I have used Castle-Connolly's directories several times, and I've always been impressed with the high quality of their selections.  The downside of their service is that they tend to survey doctors in major metro areas (i.e., NYC, LA, Chicago, etc.), so they have far fewer recommendations for other locations.
