blister on the eye

blister on the eye

My mother is 82 has had both glucoma & cataract surgery.  The glucoma about two years ago and the cataract surgery in July this year.  The other day she thought she had a eyelash or something in her eye.  But my dad said it looked like a blister on it.  Then yesterday she got one on the other eye also.  Could it be from the surgery or an infection of some kind?

Sometimes glaucoma surgery intentionally tries to create a blister at the top of the eye to drain fluid out of the eye (filtering bleb).  Do not touch it or try and "pop" it. See her Eye MD to find out what it is.
