chalazion the steroid shot

I had the surgery. Lower lid. Stayed red and swollen. So. Doc gave me the steroid shot. He mentioned a white mark. I was unsure if this is temporary? I'm freaking out. Its a light slit under my eye. Its very light and obvious. Is this permanent ?

I doubt you'll reply again. It kind of sticks up and it seems to be very white. I can't really tell. The dermatologist took a quick look and said it was the powdery substance left and it should be re absorbed but it looks so light. Is the skin that thin around the eye?I'm scared its pigment loss. I guess only time will tell. I wish there was another way I copuld know for sure

If it is a white area from a kenalog shot, the white spot will go away in about a month or a month and a half.  In other words if it looks like white substance under the skin, then i will go away - that is the kenalog which is milky white.  It the skin actually looked whitened with a loss of pigment that is less predictable - talk to your doctor.
