eye discomfort/pain

Dear all

I am a 29 yr old female, living in the uk.

I have been experiencing dull achy, occasionally sharp pain in both eyes. (not sure whether its ocular or orbital) seems to come from over the top of the eye. occasional light sensitivity.
I booked for a routine eye exam with optometrist, my eye sight hasnt changed in 17 months.
But my eye pressure was high 24 in one 27 in the other.. so i have been referred to see an opthalmologist but was warned i could be waiting a while for appointment.

Also she mentioned my eyes were quite dry so she gave me some drops which dont really do a great deal to be honest.
Im sure you can appreciate im rather concerned about this, is there anything i should look out for?
I have also noticed that the blood vessels look more noticeable than they did a few months ago... optometrist put that down to dry eye.
This has been roughly 2 months now.

Advice would be appreciated

Thank you for your reply, im afraid the health service in the uk dont work like that i get the first available appointment to see an opthalmologist.

My optometrist who performed my eye exam has just said if the pain gets worse to go to the hospital.

I assume she means severe pain... but am unsure what i should look out for symptom wise.

Could you offer advice.

Dear natasha2980,

If you are having symptoms, I would advise you to see if it is possible to obtain an earlier appointment. If not, call your doctor who examined your eyes and update them and ask this question as they are familiar with your condition.
