Sorry i didnt explain that well... i only spoke to optometrist on the phone.. she wasnt clear either. What i meant was that the eye pressure was taken in both eyes as you say they should then after i had the eye exam they were done again to see if they had lowered.. so i assume it was 24 in one eye and 27 in the other eye.
Im still concerned i might develop acute glaucoma..because of this.
Thank you for your reply.
I assume that she is referring me to an opthalmologist so they can evaluate the pressure.. but that could be a month away at the very least.
Dry eye can definitely cause your dull achy symptoms. Also migraine and occipital neuralgia can cause this type of pain.
I don't understand if the 24 is the right eye and the 27 is the left eye. Usually the eyes do not have exactly the same eye pressure. Also, usually the right eye is measured first and then the left eye immediately afterwards, not "10 minutes apart".
In any event, 27 is not "just a little high". If the reading was accurate, it is definitely high. This does not mean that it is causing damage, but it should be monitored more frequently than once a year. However, if the pressures were measured with the air puff test, this is totally inaccurate and you need to be reexamined by someone with more modern equipment.
Also just found out that eye pressures were 24 and 27... (2 readings about 10 mins apart)
