eye floaters shifting

eye floaters shifting

I  developed eye floaters about 2 months ago. I am 35 years old. I seen an ophthalmologist after I noticed them "about a month ago." They said my eyes are fine and the floaters are normal. But in the last few days. The floaters seem to shift. One of the bigger pieces seem to go out of my vision and be more at the bottom but the other ones seem to get bigger. Such as the one shaped like a coiled up hair. There seems to be more of them but they appear the same shape as the ones that where on my side vision. Should I be concerned? What’s going on?

I tell patients that if they see new or increased floaters or new flashes of light that they should come call the office for another look at the vitreous and retina to make sure that there is not a new retinal tear or detachment.  So it depends in this situation if it just a minor change to previous situation or something definitely new and different.  If new and different -  you should call your ophthalmologist's office and let them know what you have noticed.

Your floaters sound new. As the doctor suggests, You should get them checked.

Hope you are OK.
