Dear dhaval_patel,

I would recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD to determine the cause of your broken blood vessel.  IT can be associated with high blood pressure, diabetes, bleeding problems.

Dear MandaCope,

Sedatives are often given as an adjunct to topical anesthetics in cataract surgery.  I would speak with your eyeMD and inform him and the anesthesiologist of your concerns and your prior history of small pupils and lengthy operation times.  The doctor will be better prepared to deal with your eye should the same  complication occur.
