Very worried posssible corneal dystrophy one eye

Hi I am a 42 year old male and I have blurry vision in my left eye for the last month and a half. I went to 2 opthamologists and the first one didnt mention it when I went in for an eye exam,. He said I had an astigmatism, I decided to have a second opinion, the second one said I may have corenal dystrophy so I have made an appointment to see a cornea specialist in 2 weeks which is his earliest available. For the past year or so I been reading 12  hours a day or more on the computer and books so I am wondering could I have muscle strain in one eye causing the bluriness? Could I be that lucky? Also my tonsils look swollen and sore so could I have a viral or bacterial infection that could go to the one eye and make it blurry? What is the prognosis for corneal dystrophy? I hear there are about 20 different kinds. I've been very depressed lately and lost my zest for life. Any comments/ suggestions would be appreciated.

Ok thanks , One last question, do you know if you can see clearly with the treatment they offer for this particular one you mention.

Don't worry, just wait for the cornea specialist.  Most common corneal dystrophy is Fuch's and there are nonsurgical treatments for it to start and a partial corneal transplant when it gets bad enough.  You also want to make sure you've been checked with gonioscopy to make sure you don't have narrow angle glaucoma (not very likely in your case).  Nothing you did has caused this so try and not sweat it till the appointment.

I forgot to mention I then went to an optometrist which was now the 3rd doctor and he said there may be something there also. My left eye feels sore almost like my eye has an eye cold , I dont know if that makes sense but it feels like how your head would feel if you had a cold only in the eye. It is not watery but there is pain in my eyebrows and for awhile alot of pain in my left temple. I didnt see an edit button here so I had to add this after in another box.
