red eyes

around January or February, I visited my friend at college and woke up the next morning with red eyes.  I figured it was cus I slept with my contacts in.  However, I continued to have red eyes for about a month.  sometimes it looked fine, but then other times my friends would just be like, why's your eye red? Then one day I got vinigrette in my eye accidentally and that eye got redder.  my eyes started to hurt when I didn't have my contacts in and felt dry and sorta raw. I went to my uncle who is an opthalmologist and he gave me eye drops for conjuctivitis.  I used all of that for a few days and then my eyes were fine.  but after a week of fine eyes, they got red again after I slept in my contacts.  What is wrong???  I have changed my contacts many times, wash my hands before taking them out or putting them in, and always put them in solution over night except for the few times i have to sleep in them.  What could be the problem?

You wear contacts, you should be under the care of an optometrist or ophthalmologist. Stop wearing your contacts and return to your "fitter".
