restor lenses

can the restore lens be removed and a mono lens put in? Very upset with this lens for the money it cost.  All these negatives should have been explained to me. if this can be done how long do i have to wait for that surgery?

Yes it can be explanted. I had my restor put in in June. The dominate eye was exchanged in Nov. and have the other eye scheduled for April.  I'd suggest you go to a teaching hospital and get the very best surgeon.  He chose a amo aspheric lens to change to and I do have to wear glasses. That isn't a problem to me (wearing glasses). I have perfect vision in the first one exchanged with the added glasses to it.  Where as the old Restor was a piece of junk.

Good luck to you.

Do a search in this forum  using "restor lens costs insurance". This will bring up posts I'm done in reference to the doctor's charges for the multifocal restor lens. This did happen to me.
It might help you.
