i had laser surg on friday 2/4//11 to repair a torn retina.   One of my symptoms was black, cobweb like floaters.   My question is how long will these weblike floaters last.

Could have another tear with blood cells floating around.  Need to call retina specialist and get a repeat dilated exam again ASAP.

I had 2 retinal tears in 4 days.  My eye doctor did laser surgery on each of the tears. Feb 4 and 7.  I saw the doc for a check up on Feb 11and was told everything looked ok.  Thankfully!!    I was left with quite a bit of floaters which appeared like black fuzzy lines in my field of vision.  Over the past week these lines seem to be fading away.   I noticed 2 days ago that now I have alot of small, very dark spots floating around in my field of vision.  These spots  are very dark in comparison to the fading floaters.   It's like looking thru 3D glasses all the time.   Vary unsettling.   I'm wondering if this is normal hearling process or if I could have yet another tear.   Advice please!!!!

can't predict.  could be weeks to months for some.  Rarely longer.  Brain learns to adapt and gravity pulls them down out of the visual field eventually.  Be patient.  Make sure you keep your appts with the retina specialist to make sure you don't get any other tears in the retina.
