Scared about Heart Pain

Hi there iam 22years of age 5'11 and around 181 pounds.About 2 Weeks ago I started having an ache under my left breast area. But at the time it felt as if it was stemming from my stomach.Went to the E.R they done an EKG Blood test and an
x-ray.Overall they said the conclusion was it was constipation gave me some Magnesium Citrate sent me on my way.I took it felt somewhat better a cpl days later. About 4-5 days ago I started to experience a similar pain but it started in my chest and shot down my left arm into my hand. Ive now had pains coming from the bottom of my left shoulder blade parralel to the pain in my chest. In the left side of my neck and into the crease in my left arm sometimes to the hand and in the shoulder. I have also been feeling nausous the pain dosent  come during exertion it just comes and goes like an ache but sometimes its very sharp.I also was eating and experienced some very sharp pains in the area. I went back to my doctor today and he was concerned it was heart related  until I told him I went to the E.R about two weeks earlier and they gave me the blood test and the x-ray. He said if it were my heart it would have showed up there. And that a person my age with no prior heart trouble or early heart trouble in my family that it would be unheard of for me to have heart problems. He gave me some Nexium and told me to see if it helps. My BP stays around 120-65
The bottom number gets as low as 50 sometimes. And my heart rate stays in the lower 60's Iam very active and I lift alot of weights. So iam wondering is this heart pain iam having should I go back to the E.R. and get tested again or could this be muscle related?I've always heard if you have heard trouble your gonna have alot of chest pains and Ive been having them for awhile now.And iam also curious would a blood test 2 weeks ago indicate problems I would be having now?

Thanks Alot
-Shane

I also have a question along these lines. I am of yound age (less than 18 to be exact. I have been experiencing lots of heart pain, and the occasional random chest pain. It's all I can think about and effects my work quality. I exercise aerobically every day and do plenty of sit-ups. I used to put salt on a lot of stuff, but gave that up awhile ago. The pain has been recent... any suggestions?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello - thanks for asking your question.

Without examining you, it is impossible to say what you have.  Here are some thoughts.

With your young age, it is unlikely that coronary artery disease is causing your chest pain.  Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a disease that should be screened for, especially in young adults.  This can be done with an echocardiogram, which can be discussed with your personal physician.

A more likely cause would be muscle or GI pain.  Typical causes of GI pain includes GERD, ulcers, or inflammation of the stomach or esophagus.  An upper GI series would be a reasonable test to evaluate for GI disorders.

If those tests are negative, then a musclular cause should be investigated.  A physical therapy consult or evaluation by a physiatrist (a rehabilitation doctor) may be helpful.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
