BAD FSH :(

Ok, I just went to the doctor today for after my clomid challenge test. I really recommend anyone who has a slight elevated FSH to get the clomid challenge test. My doctor thought mine was going to be ok and it wasn't, she was shocked. My day 3 FSH was 8.6. So after taking clomid for days 5-9, my day 10 FSH was 14. She told me that is like I have ovaries of a 40 year old. My chances of having a baby are 5%. She told me this and I also read it on another medical facilities website. So even though my FSH looked slightly high but still within normal limits, it was not good.
So today is day cd 12, she did an u/s on me and I have 2 eggs ready to release, one is perfect size, I think 24 cm (or something like that) :) and shey gave me an injection of HCG to release. So please please please everyone can you say a little tiny prayer for me that I can get preggo? I know my chances are very slim at 5 % but I know it is possible and it is better than 0%. Thank you all and I am saying prayer for everyone on this message board for good fertility and good pregnancies :)
Hugs!

We started TTC in Sept '04. I had a m/c in Feb '05 and an ectopic in July '05. After that, I had over a year of infertility (desptite a HSG, hysteroscopy, Clomid and Femara). I saw my RE for the first time in October '06, and her performed laparoscopy in on December 6th. After removing a BUNCH of adhesions and a cyst, we got pg this month- no clomid, no IUI, just old fashioned BD'ing!!

So, don't give up!! :)

Thank you :) I will do that search for high FSH support forum. My RE is really great, she is very hopefully. She also told me of her collegue that is in her early 30's that decided to check her FSH and it was 15, so she freaked out and asked my RE for help, and my RE got her preggo. :) so she gave me hope. She just wanted to let me know that a FSH of 15 is the same as a 40 year old and the percentate is 5%, but she said since I am 30 that is a huge plus. I am not sure if it was you Di, but someone on here told me that age trumps FSH score, and that is what she was saying too. My chances are still down there, I fogot to ask her what percentage after assistance. The thing was, I started going to RE because I have had spotting all the time between AF, I had been to 3 other docs and they all would say, oh that is the way you are. I finally told my gyn that I want to be tested, we weren't trying, but I want to know what we are facing. We weren't planning to officially try for a few months, (after we sold our house, we are living with MIL) So that is why I was going, and yesterday opened our eyes and are officially trying now.
but like I said, she is very hopful and positive about me getting pregnant. She said she is going to be very aggressive as we do not have any time to waste :)

My RE said that FSH levels should be checked on CD3. He never indicated that I needed them re-checked on CD10. My level on day 3 was 10.7, which he called "upper end of the normal range."

I'm 5 weeks, 2 days pg now. Don't give up!!

I'd say that if you had a good sized egg on clomid and didn't have to be bumped up to repronex or another injectable, you're in good shape.  Regardless of what your fsh level was, you still produced an egg so it seems like you've got a good shot at it this month!  Good luck!

Please don't lose hope based on high FSH.  I too had high FSH on CCT...9 on CD3 and 18 on CD10!!  How old are you?  My RE says that age is a better predictor, I'm 31.  Do a search for "high FSH support forum", I think there's only one.  You will hear of many ladies with MUCH higher FSH and success stories.
I personally have not had my BFP, but have had a great response to stims and am in the TWW for my IUI.
I can't believe your RE told you your chances were 5%!!!!!  You might want to look for an RE that supports high FSHers.
Good Luck on your follie!!!
