HORRIBLE UN-ENDING PERIOD. HELP!!!!!

Okay... I have been on my period for a good month now and it is really really red and there is a lot! I fill a super tampon in no more than 2 hours with minimal clots. When I was younger, I never had periods like a normal monthly person. They would come and go and ocme and go. Then I finally went to the doctor to be put on birth control when they seen I had a 5.2 hemoglobin. They rean ekg's on me and had 3 tranfusions. I was on many different birth controls until they found one to actually stop my periods and that was Yasmin. Well my husband and I are wanting to have a baby, therefore, I got off birth control in October 2010 and the hwhole month of March 2011 I have been hit with a horrendous un-ending period. What should I do? I go to the doctor April 11. I want to know what is wrong with me and if I will even be able to have kids because the October to March span I never had a period and never conceived. This is driving me crazy someone... please give me some advice!!!!! I am begging you!

have you checked for ovarian cysts? i had a period for 3 months without stopping and it was because i had cysts. the dr tried putting me on double/triple birth control pills and it wouldnt stop it. they finally did a vaginal ultrasound and saw i had 3 cysts causing my periods to go on forever. maybe something to look into? i had normal periods my whole life too until i was 23-24 when i got my cysts.

i hope you find the answer soon! i feel the pain with having a period for soooo long. how annoying :(
