Holy cr#% my preseed got here pretty quickly.  I'm so excited it's like Christmas.  I have my HSG tomorrow and DH has semen analysis next Tues then we are off on "spring break bd marathon cruise" WITH NO OPK'S BUT PRESEED :o) I havent been this excited about Bding in a while...I know isnt that sad;O(  wish me luck

Actually, NO lubricant is the best way to go. When I first met with my RE, I proudly told him that the only lube dh and I used was preseed. He promptly told me to stop!! Like Yvette said, ALL lube affects sperm. Although preseed is not as harmful as KY, it's not as "sperm friendly" as their website claims. My RE said if you absolutely have to supplement your CM, then you should just use a couple of drops of mineral oil on dh. And if you're producing enough CM to get the deed done, then don't use anything at all.

Hey, I can understand your concerns, but I swear by pre-seed.  I got a BFP the very first month I used it (this month, LOL)......I read, and read so much about it, ad was convinced that it was some good stuff.  In addition to the internet, I had a friend of mines, research it at the library, and she found the one of the same studies that the internet mentioned (had to be sure it was legit)...As I've said all along, maybe I was just lucky this month, BUT I strongly feel the pre-seed helped me conceived as it's the ONLY thing I did differently, even down to the days I bd'd (2 days before O, and the day of O) and I'd done this for 3 months only to get a visit from AF, but the first month I did it with preseed, AF hasn't showed yet, and I'm DEFINITELY pregnant.......so as a result, I LOVE PRESEED........can't wait to give birth to Pre-seed Junior (LOL)...that's my unborn child's name for now!

Congrats on the preseed, and yes speak with your doc, BUT preseed doesn't affect the sperm, but KY does kill it.  Preseed mimics your cm and has proven to be safe and in my case VERY EFFECTIVE, but I'd never suggest NOT speaking with your doctor if you have some concern, BUT you already my thoughts on pre-seed, I LOVE IT, may name my baby pre-seed, Jr. (LMAO) as it's the one that REALLY got me pregnant (LOL)....Well have fun with it, and I have my fingers crossed, I feeling that in the next 2-3 weeks, you'll be back on the forum promoting it as you would've gotten your BFP.........I'm going to be looking out for your threads.....have fun on your vacation, and go make some babies (one will due too).

Dont feel like you are butting in we are all here for the same reason :O)  We havent been using any lube at all.  Speculum and no lube ....sorry :O(
I also havent tried alot do to my scepticism....I only OPK I dont even temp (which I may start if I dont drive myself crazy 1st)but I'm having NO LUCK. I love ALL the insight found on this site especially since my sisters and local friends have no clue about what Im going through.  everyone hear has helped so much :O) Super sticky baby dust to all

My doc said no lubricant at all!   (Ugh).  I am probably wrnog about the KY, you know you read so many different things.   It's my understanding that all lube kills off some sperm, just some are more sperm friendly than others.  

When I had artificial insemination, they used a speculum first to get to cervix and no lube!  Wasn't very pleasant.

Also...I'm pessimistic about all these "gadgets that are for sale on the internet.  Just ask you doc.   Sorry for butting in!  :)  Just meaning well.

Thanks for your concern.  I will double check with the DR.  Like babysomeday I too have read KY kills sperm and pre seed does not so I'm a little confused but willing to try just about anything but obviously don't want to hurt my chances.  I'll let ya know what the DR says.  Did the Dr tell you to stay away from it?   super sticky baby dust to all

I encourage you to talk to your doctor about the preseed.  Lubricants can be harmful to the "swimmers".   Also know that it does not replace cervical mucous.   KY jelly is just as effective and has a reputation for not killing all the sperm.  But EVERY lubricant kills some sperm.  

Again I repeat  _ Preseed does not replace cervical mucous.
