Postpartum Tubal w/Cauterization Complications

Postpartum Tubal w/Cauterization Complications

Hi all!!  I was pleased to find you ladies here talking about exactly what I have questions about!  Sometimes it is SO hard to find the exact info you are searching for online!

I had a tubal/cauterization done the very next morning after giving birth to my 3rd child the night before.  I did get very sick the night after my surgery and ended up staying in the hospital longer.  My Dr. was my second child's Dr also, just 5 years earlier (when he started his internship).  My brother was also in on my surgery, he thought that was very cool!  LOL!

My questions are as follows:

1. Could my getting very sick right after surgery be due to one or both tubes not being completely cauterized or happened to reopen due to not being cauterized correctly or enough, therefore causing the openeing?

2. It has been almost 10 years, is there a higher risk of pregnancy in those that did have this surgery done, but got very sick afterwards...I have had other minor surgeries before and after and never got sick, so it is not from the anestetic (ms?).

3. I had an appendectomy exactly (almost to the date) 1 year after my 3rd child was born & the tubal...could something have gone array inside while that surgery was being performed?  I do know that it was performed by a very experienced surgeon.

4. With each child I had Bronchitis, no other times in my life have I ever been that sick...5 weeks ago I was sick with a minor cold, then got very sick, like Pneumonia/Bronchitis (without all the major coughing, etc.), but my Dr doesn't think I had Pneumonia, per say, but a really bad bug.  I have been feeling really weird, almost pregnant like, VERY hungery at times, even if I just ate 1-2 hours ago!!  My weakness, fatigue, ill feelings, etc, come and go daily.  I had 2 periods in Jan, 1 at the end of Feb & just started in March last Fri but only bled very lightly (used daytime liners), usually I am a heavy bleeder, and for only 1 1/2 days!  Could I be pregnant?

Any help and/or advise would be great!  I am very sure my Dr won't give me a pregnancy test due to me having the tubal.  Is First Response the best pregnancy test on the market, or is there a better one, and how long should I wait to do the test?

Thanks to all!!  I, too, sometimes would love to have a miracle baby for my husband, and I pray to God about it, letting Him know that if it is His will, that I would be willing to have another baby!!  I say that (willing to) because I do have FMS, but it has been under control for almost 2 years now.  I even asked the nurse if it was a bad thing to be on morphine while pregnant...just in case, and she assured me that many women do have healthy babies even if they have to take morphine.  I only take 1 - 15mg tablet a day, I use to take 4 - 15mg tabs a day :)

God willing for all of us that had to, for one reason or another, get a tubal done allow us to become pregnant again with a healthy baby!!!
