Stopping Progesterone ? - not so sure about this!

Hey girls! i hope everyone is doing ok!   I had a question about progesterone supplements.. and stopping them, i am 7 weeks 4 days today and went to the RE for ultrasound - everything Shockingly looked great..which we couldn't be more thankful for! anyhow they measured my progesterone and said it was 35 and i can stop taking the supplements cold turkey! now at only 7.5 weeks!?!  that seems sooo early to me! another friend of mine goes to the same dr, he told her to stop at 7 weeks and she did and she is now 11 weeks without complication, but i am just terrified its too early! and the worst part is my prescription runs out too! ugh! I have an apt with my obgyn in a couple of weeks, maybe i should call her and ask for a refill? has anyone stopped that early before? i have a history of recurrent miscarriages, and this is the first heartbeat we've ever seen, so i'm super duper paranoid!  thanks so much!

Thanks so much girls! yea i have ten or so pills left so i might just go to every other night or something like that for the next week or so just to be safe!!! there is no harm in continuing them, but i defintely am scared to stop them.. the doc thinks its a ok to stop them now though.. i just dunno

If you are worried just test your progesterone levels in a few days after stopping.  That way you will know that everything is OK.

I wouldn't stop - just as a precaution. It can't hurt anything. Let your doctor know you would just feel better to continue until 11 weeks or so. Like luvkaylin said - it's your baby - not theirs!Hugs and congrats on the h/b!!!!!

I would definately tell your doctor how you're feeling! Your levels do sound great, but I understand your fears! There's no harm in continuing to take the progesterone, so I don't see the big deal. I have heard of a lof of women taking them until they're 10 weeks or so, but being that your doctor feels that you are good to stop taking them now is great! :) Go with your instincts though! It's your baby, not theirs! Oh, and congrats on seeing the h/b! :)
