Trying to get pregnant after depo provera seems hopeless!

hello everyone! well heres my story.. i was on the depo provera shot for a year and a half, i never had a period through out that time, me and my partner decided to try for a baby so i decided not to get the next shot, (30th june 2010) come august around 12th-20th i had my first period since the start of depo provera.. but it was horrible, it lasted for a whole month! my period stopped just before september and started back up again on the 22nd of september and lasted the full 7 days that it should do, a full 19 days had past before i had my next period october 17th and again that lasted a whole 7 days, it is now the 1st of november and i got my period once again...

could i be able to get pregnant by the end of this year or the beginning of next year? since my period came back so quickly after skipping the shot and they are lasting the full 7 days now do you think i am in for a chance? depo provera success stories and advice would be greatly appreciated! xxxxx

On average it can take up to 12-18 months for your body to regulate coming off of depo provera.. So do not begin to get too discouraged. It often takes quite some time to get pregnant after stopping that particular birth control.
