Uterine Polyp

Ok so i am getting ready to go through IVF and had my mock embryo transfer and saline sonogram of my uterus yesterday. And the doc thought he saw a polyp or something in my uterus, so he said we have to do surgery today!! I am a little nervous. He goes into my uterus with a camera and if there is anything he will take it out (either burn it or laser or something).  . .He said this won't mess up anything for my IVF cycle. In January he said he thought there might be a polyp but he wasn't going to operate. Now he is the next day? Do you think it's more important now because i am doing IVF? Has anyone ever had a polyp removed? THey completely knock me out. . .Any advice or experiences would be great! Thanks ladies.
