thanks Ladies!! my sweet dh ran out last night and got me some yogurt! the reason she said he probably wont put me back on the pio is my progesterone is at 33 and i am taking the oral pills so she said they are in the process of weaning me off anyway so that was the reason i will probably just stop it and take the pills orally only! she said last night that he might do a vag culture to see exactly what it is to diagnos me correctly!! it doesnt hurt or itch or burn this morning but it still looks bad! ill keep you updated! thank you for your concern, and hopefully i can prevent someone else from getting the same kind of reaction i did!

I'm sorry!!!!!
I would switch to the PIO shots as soon as possible.
I hope today you'll feel better!

My reaction wasn't as bad but you definitely can have a reaction to them that feels identical to a yeast infection.  Your reaction was probably just more severe.  and from all I've been told, there's no reason why you can't do PIO shots instead of the suppositories or switch to the ones that can be taken orally.

well i finally heard back from one of the assistant Dr and she told me that i dont need to take one tonight and to let the office know whats going on tomorrow and she is going to talk to my dr and see what he wants to do to get me off of them, she mentioned going back to 1cc of PIO but she said she doubted that! i will ask what they recommend for me to take tomorrow for a yeast infection while pregnant! thanks for the info!!  im already home from the store and completely pooped so im going to bed but im going to get some yogurt tomorrow!! Thank you all for your help and suggestions!! as soon as she said it was her, i was relieved!! she said that everything else looks great and we will take care of it all tomorrow! she didnt sound too worried about if effecting me though, it cant hurt the baby if i start taking care of it right away can it?

As I mentioned above, I had a similar problem (but not as severe) last time.  But I've been on them again and I just use wet wipes almost every time I go to the bathroom and very frequently change my pantyliner to make sure things stay dry and it hasn't been a problem this time.  I'm even doing 2 a day whereas last time I did one a day.  I think the main thing is to try to keep things as dry as possible down there to prevent the yeast infection.  You can also try the yogurt thing :o)

Doesn't sound like a UTI at all, but it does sound exactly like a yeast infection.  I got a mild one last time.  You're not supposed to do the yeast relief suppositories like Monistat, but those kits come with topical creams that ARE safe to use.  i would pick one up PRONTO! :o)  Try to keep yourself clean and after each cleaning put on some of the topical cream - it will help the itch as well as take away the yeast infection.  You can also try to eat yogurt - I hear that helps but I hate yogurt so I never looked into it that much.

Good luck and feel better.

well no one is answering at the office, i started taking the suppoistories the night i found out i am pregnant, that was last tuesday, at first, i was sore, but everything i read said that that can be a side effect and i told the doctor so he lowered my dose!! well for the heck of it because it was so itchy/burny down there i took my hand held mirror and seen that they look all lumpy is the best way to but it i guess. they only hurt when my clothes are touching them but its just an irritating hurt not a painful hurt! but still its not normal!!! i called my IVF coordinator to ask her, she would know what to do. i stopped taking the shots the same time i started the supp. so maybe i can switch back!! they were bad! i would much rather do them! i dont want to take any meds or put any creams just in case! i am not going to take any chance of harming this baby!! im 4weeks and 4 days (according to all the calculators ive done) i just hope she calls me back soon. we have to go grocery shopping and OF COURSE, she will prolly call back right in the middle lol...thanks for the luck!! you ladies are so great!! ill let you know what happens, hopefully it happens SOON!!!!

Oh my gosh, that sounds terrible! Were you taking the suppositories before you found out you were pregnant? I couldn't imagine how uncomfortable that must be! Don't worry girl, we're all human. If it grosses some women out, they don't have to respond! :) Anyway, i have no clue what to tell you to do. I take the suppositories, but i've never had a reaction like that. That ***** the damn office is closed, what are you supposed to do until they open!! Isn't there like an emergency contact number or something?! I hope everything gets better for you!! Let us know what they tell you to do when you talk to them. Good luck!

I'm on the oral capsules, but used as suppositories, i don't have a reaction to them, but it is just kind of a pain and grose!    maybe try benadryl?? and a luke warm bath?? Let me know what they say about switching you over to the PIO, i have wanted to switch but afraid to make the switch for fear it would mess someing up!   good luck!!!
