for my Dr, Clomid with IUI runs $300 and injections with IUI runs around $1000 but your odds are supposed to increase considerably. Best of luck to you.
Thank you to all of you. I am really confused. I have seen so many instances where the first round didn't work and then poof they're pregnant on the second round or the third round. The doc told me that if these next two rounds on 150mg doesn't work he is going to send me to a specialist to start getting injections and i don't know if the insurance will cover this. Does anyone know the price range of the injections? I hope it isn't that expensive. I hope I don't have to have them at all. I hope I get pregnant this cycle. Please Lord. Help me out on this one. Any info about anthing would be great

For a viable pregnancy they would like your uterine lining to be between 7-12 mm thick at time of ovulation. Twice mine has be below that, and my Dr gave me a shot of estrogen. It helped, but I was still on the low end.
When i was on clomid last cycle, during cd 12-13 they found that my lining was thin, so my doc gave me some pills , i think egesterone something not sure...for a few days...after that on cd 16 they found my follicles reached the mature level and my lining was back to normal....so i think they have pills to make your lining back to normal...for me it happened...but ofcourse it was BFN weeks later...
I also read that taking clomid on days 3-7 helps not thin the lining too much. Clomid thins the lining and if to thin, the baby cant' implant.
i also used clomid + metformin to grow my follicles. i have pcos and my doc said that the two meds in conjuction work well together and the metformin helps to decrease risk of miscarriage since pcos people are at higher risk. The clomid can thin out the lining and some docs use progesterone to help this out.
good luck to you!
I do know your uterus had to be thick to have the baby implant. I'm not sure how thick. Try talking to nurse practitioner or make your doctor discuss your questions with you.
