My daughter has pcos, she also cannot take the pill because of clotting factors in her blood.  She has had a period for two months now.  She is 22 and has no insurance.  What should she do.

Was the diagnosis of PCOS given by her physician?  If so, did he/she give advice on how to reduce the symptoms of PCOS?  Is your daughter overweight or does she have a thyroid disorder.  Weight loss (if overweight), regular exercise and medication (like Metformin) all help the body better use insulin.  (Too much insulin can stimulate the ovaries to produce too much testoterone and LH, thus affecting cycles).
