Anyone doing Donor ova IVF following bilateral oopherectomy?

I had a double ooperectomy because of Ovarian Cancer almost 2 years ago and now that I have been given the all clear am TTC through donor eggs.

The retrieval was wed and we are hoping for 3day transfer tomorrow and can't believe this may really be happening.

I know most people who do donor cycles are not in my situation and have at least some residual ovarian function but I am hoping someone may have been in a similar situation or can give me some advice.

Since I don't produce any hormones this is all a bit of a shock for me. The Progesterone injections are worst and I have been having crampy feelings. Is this normal? Will it continue the whole time I have to use the injections? How will I tell the difference between this and good/bad cramps.
I don't know how I am going to stay sane the next few weeks!

I got pregnant via donor eggs but not because of an oopherectomy.  I know what you mean about those PIO shots - numb your hiney really, really good and that'll help.  Try massaging the area afterwards (gently) as well.

Even though I had some ovarian reserve, my ovarian function was completely suppressed before the cycle so I had to take all synthetic hormones as well.  I wish you good luck and SSBD!!!

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with a double oopherectomy and donor IVF, but just wanted to wish you best of luck! I'm also moving to IVF (starting the meds in March). Hopefully it will work for both of us!
