I went to New Hope this morning for second opinion. I really did not have any intention of switching REs, just wanted to know if there was different protocol. Low and Behold, there is!!! You see, my dh all along has not been overjoyed with the old RE. I kept telling him to quit complaining that it was what it was. We went to New Hope and found there should be more testing on me and I should be monitored more closely. My dh said, "See, I told you". Oh well, better finding out late than never. Like I said, I did not have any intention of switching and then thought about it. AF came this morning so it is cd1 for me. What perfect timing! My other RE has already ordered follistim and ovidrel so that is in the works. The new RE will follow the same protocol with medication, but will monitor me more!
SO THERE IS HOPE!!! NEW HOPE!!! I told you my optimism would come back. :)
If any of you recall my bad experience with that lady from the gym who said the follicles (27 and 28) were too big! She was right. They said that they will do u/s every 3 days and as soon as they see a follicle in between 20 and 24, they will induce ovulation even if it is on cd9! When follicles get bigger than 24, their outside layer becomes hard and the sperm cannot penetrate it. So, my other RE should have been doing u/s on me more frequent.
I am very nervous about the follistim and the new RE said we could do one more cycle of clomid, but I just got so depressed Sunday and said, "We should just go for the gusto".
