Due anytime Summer 2012

mhv
Hi ladies.  I know it's kind of early for me, being only 7wks 5days along, to start this, but I wanted to start sharing this journey with others due around the same time as me.

I know many of us (me included) are afraid to put ourselves out there this early, afraid that something might go wrong, but I have known so many of you for you long, that I just couldn't wait any longer to start sharing experiences with you.  I have never been this far along in a pregnancy, and am so sure I am going to have tons of questions.

I am expecting twins, and am still in shock! :)  We have a due date of Aug 9th, but It will probably be more like July 26th, due to it being twins
I feel pretty good most of the time,  but if I don't eat every 2-3 hrs, the babies let me know it!

Just wondering how everyone else is feeling, and wondering if anyone else has questions we can help each other with....

Hugs!!!

If I would've known about the necklaces sooner I would've put them on the boys from day 1 and not waited till they were teething. My boys were fussy for months and the necklaces calms so I wonder if I would've saved myself the stress and exhaustion by using them earlier. And had happier babies sooner!

I've been lucky so far with immunizations and the rotovirus liquid stuff with Preston. He cries for about 2 minutes after the needles, then he's fine. He sleeps most of the day, and still sleeps through the night.

Glad to hear the girls are doing well

love and hugs

My nurse practitioner suggested seltzun blue for Preston's cradle cap. And it's definitely working!

I haven't tried the Baltic Amber necklaces, but I have heard a lot about them. Apparently they work wonders. And your story is a testament to that. I think I'm going to have to try one for Preston. He hasn't cut any teeth yet, but he's chewing everything (especially his hands). And drooling like a sieve. And very cranky at times. So it'll start happening soon

There's a couple things I wanted to pass along in case it helps any of you. I didn't know this stuff and idk if any of you do but I hope it helps.

Alot of my friends had babies this year and there's a few things I've learned from some friends that I wanted to pass it on to my other friends who may not know these things. If what I've learned and tried and worked helps another mom that's great!
1) My Bff who is also the boys nurse suggested using head & shoulders shampoo for the boys cradle cap and by the 2nd bath they no longer have it!

2) Having a teething baby stinks! Having 2 at the same time I was at the point of pulling my hair out! You shouldn't use those numbing creams for babys gums, there's an FDA warning that says they've been linked to blood disorders. For the past 2+ weeks Maks has been refusing to drink his bottle, it was a constant fight every feeding! He's always crabby, anyone who's hung out with us can vouch for that. Aleks is to but not alot. Maks would sound like a wild animal when he chewed on his fingers from teething pain. Aleks did that to. A friend suggested I try these Baltic amber teething necklaces and I'm forever grateful! I can tell you Maks fussed like usual with his morning bottle. When I got the necklaces this afternoon and put them on the boys and within a hour they were like completely different babies! Maks ate every bottle after this with no fuss! I couldn't believe it! Then we went out with the boys which is always stressful as they are so bad, screaming and crying the whole time. We usually have to hurry and we never take them with us when we go out to eat. Today we were out for 4hrs with them and they were perfect angels!!! Wth!! It can't be a fluke, that never happens.

If you read up on Baltic Amber you will see it helps with teething, digestion, arthritis and other things. I'm convinced that this stuff works. Even Dh asked me what was up with the boys and said he couldn't believe they were so good today. This was before I told him about the necklaces. We will see how everyday goes with these necklaces and I will keep you updated!

I just thought I would drop a line about the twins. They had their 4 month check on Thursday. Ava is 12 lbs 10oz and Kayli is 12lbs 8oz. Both are doing amazingly well. They think they will be getting some teeth probably sooner than later and I would agree with it on Kayli because she has gotten to where she chews on everything in site. They got 2 shots each and the liquid stuff. That has made for unhappy babies the last two days. Hoping the crankiness fades soon.

So happy to hear everyone's babies are doing so well. Love and hugs to all! XOXO

I'm finding that Preston's feedings have dropped too. He was drinking 8 oz at a time, but now he's down to about 6 at a time. I figured it was because of teething too because he chews everything. His hands have become his best friends. But when he does want to eat, you better have it ready fast cause he'll let you know.

It's amazing watching them change and grow every day.
