i think progesterone is a good idea after O for anyone going thru fertiltiy treatments.. my RE puts everyone on it just to make sure that low progesterone is not an issue if you do get preg.. also it does make the uterus an even better environment for the little bean to implant and stay!
i was diagnosed with PCO as well.. i am actually underweight and have normal periods every 30 days..with LH surges around cd17 or cd19... i had been told once my one ovary looked like a PCO ovary on ultrasound, then again with my RE they said the same thing.. so we did bloodwork, my LH was elevated and my testosterone very slightly elevated (normal range, but higher than they like to see) so i think you have to have three critiera to be diagnosed with PCOS.. my dr didn't want me on metformin due to uncomfortable side effects (which i said i was fine with, i'll do anything for a BFP) .. instead just said exercise and eat lower carb diet.. the month we got our BFP i ate a SUPER Low carb diet! (never had time to exercise except running around at work!) i believe "fertility diets" are also typically low carb... so i think thats worth trying too! just trying to keep your sugars level throughout the day! GOOD LUCK!
When I was DX with PCOS, they DX me through blood work. The only thing that wasn't right in the blood work was my testosterone was slightly elevated. Well then my family doctor was concerned that my obgyn didn't do an U/S to make sure, so he scheduled one and it turned out that my ovaries are a little enlarged due to the PCOS. The only symptoms I had were very irregular periods, like once every three months and I'd bleed for like 3 weeks straight. I do have heavy hair growth too. I was also really overweight. When I was DX with it, I wieghed 192. Now after almost 2 years on metformin I am down to 152. But now a friend was telling me that it could be my adrenal glands that made my testosterone elevated. Sorry if I wasn't any help. I am not insulin resistant either. Good Luck

thats good courage of u about this cycle,,,,I really think about the difference between PCO and PCOS after ur post,,,well about progesterone it actually helps in building the endometrium, just to hold the little bean,,,when u get proegesterone,,u experience heavy bloating in the abdomen,,and even symptoms of pregnancy,,sore breasts and nausea. And many of them say it varies from person to person.
Just refer that too,,,about aspirin, iam sorry i dont know,,,i do check ur post,,,i may on IUI this month,,my follicle is slow growing, very much bothered about that,,,anyhow good luck for u dear,,,,,,,hey i learnt ablut a book that tells the way to get rid of the pcos,it claims of publishing some sip\mple secrets that our DR hides to say,,,i will refer and tell about that if u want,,,see i did not buy that yet,,,planning to buy them,,,,
